Gerber Event

Last Saturday I was lucky enough to get to go to an event Gerber was holding for expectant mothers in our area. My uncle David works at Gerber and signed me up. There were over 200 pregnant women there, it was crazy. The event was super nice and they had tons of free gifts for everyone. When I first pulled up they put a big box in my car that was full of different foods and juices. We heard a little bit about the history of Gerber, had Firehouse for lunch, and then everyone got a door prize. My door prize was a diaper bag full of stuff but some lucky moms got pack-n-plays full of stuff and other big prizes. Here are a few pics of the stuff I got.

While I was doing that, Brent decided to paint some letters for Jaxson's room that I got at Hobby Lobby. They were black and didn't match anything in his room.

Notice how bright the blue is! He went and picked it out all by himself. It matches the recycle can behind him! Ha! So of course, he had to re-paint them to match the blue wall behind the bed. They look so much better now!


And because I can't leave Bailey out, here's a picture of his new Spring haircut!

I miss my furry little baby, but I know he feels so much better. It's just hair, it will grow back!

The start of Jaxson's room...

Friday afternoon Jaxson's bedding finally arrived. I order it from modpeapod.com and couldn't be happier with it. It is exactly what I wanted. It's simple and cute and just what I had in mind.

Of course, I was so excited I made Brent take me to JC Penney's to get a sheet and Home Depot for paint samples that night. We decided to paint the wall the bed is against blue and the other three light tan.

Brent got started on it early Saturday morning while I went shopping for a few things. We ordered the rug Saturday night and hopefully it will be here some time this week. I still have several things that need to be done before it's complete, but here is a sneak peek!

As you can tell, I still have several things to do. I need to get a monogram for above the bed. I am thinking a chocolate brown canvas with his name in either blue or cream. Also, I am planning on putting a mirror over the dresser. There will also be a changing pad on the dresser along with diapers and other changing stuff. I am looking for baskets for the bookshelf too. Maybe blue, brown, green, and cream. It just depends on what I can find.

I am excited to get everything finished up. I will post more pics of the final product when it's ready!

25 Weeks

How far along? 25 Weeks
How big is Baby? He weighs about a pound and a half.
Total weight gain/loss: Last time I was at the doctor it was 14 lbs.
Maternity clothes?: Yes! I can still wear some of my regular shirts though.

Stretch marks? No and I hope it stays that way!

Sleep: I usually wake up once in the middle of the night. But it is starting to get harder to get comfortable.

Best moment this week: Getting his room started!

Movement: Yes! He moves a little during the day, but at night when I am trying to go to sleep he moves a lot. Brent has got to feel him kick a few times.

Food cravings: No specific food cravings lately. I am just hungry more often it seems like.

Labor Signs: None

Belly Button in or out? In and I hope it stays that way.

What I am looking forward to: Getting a 4D Ultrasound next Monday. I can't wait to see his little face. I think he is going to look just like his daddy!
