4 Months!

Jaxson Kole, you are 4 months old!

Here are some of things you are up to this month:

- You weigh 15 lbs 5 oz
- You are 24 1/2 inches long.
- You are wearing a size 2 diaper.
- You are still wearing size 3-6 month clothes.
- You are eating 5 oz every 3 hours during the day and 6 oz before bed. You are about to start cereal. I hope you like it! You are really becoming a chunk!

- You are still a wonderful sleeper and we pray it stays that way! You go to bed between 8:30 and 9:00 and I have been having to wake you up at 7:30 to get ready for daycare.
- You are starting to teeth. You constantly have your hands in your mouth and you drool all the time. They have to put a bib on you at daycare.
- You are trying to sit up and you can sit up on your own for a few seconds before you crash.

- You are very curious and love to see what is going on around you. When I rock you to sleep at night I have to put a blanket over your head or you won't go to sleep.

- You are still not rolling over, but I don't think it will be too much longer.
- You are really getting a personality. You smile all the time and you are starting to laugh out loud! I love it!
- You are grabbing for your toys so you can put them in your mouth. If anything touches your hands, it goes straight to your mouth.
- One of your favorite things to do is lay on a blanket on the floor and just look around and kick your legs and play. You could do that for hours.
- You are not a fussy baby and only cry if you are hungry or sleepy.

- You love Bailey and stare at him all the time.
- You are really starting to "talk". You make noises all the time. You have defiantly discovered your voice.
- You are still the sweetest little boy ever and love to cuddle when you are sleepy. You are getting very attached to mommy!

Jaxson, your daddy and I love you very much! These past 4 months have been the best ever! You are growing so quick and doing new things all the time. I tell your daddy, every night after I put you in bed, "I just love that little boy."

Weekend wrap-up a little late...

Brent left to go hunting Thursday afternoon so it was just me and little Jaxson for the weekend. Thursday night we went over to my parent's house for dinner and KayKay was there. We ate dinner, played on the floor with some toys, and then headed home early for a bath, bottle, and bed. I think Jaxson knew something was different since mommy gave him a bath instead of daddy because he did not want to go to sleep after his bottle. He got to stay up a little later than usual, but I enjoyed just rocking and loving on him!

Friday we got up and played around the house all morning. I could tell Jaxson was getting bored at home, so KayKay came over and we went to the mall and did some shopping! I didn't buy anything, but it was nice to just get out and look around. After shopping, we went to dinner with my parents and KayKay at George's. It was really good! I decided I would try to give Jaxson his bath at my parents house so we wouldn't have to go home so early, but I think it confused him. He did his normal bath and bottle routine, but decided when I laid him down that he would rather stay up and play than sleep. So when we got home, I had to give him another bottle to get him to fall asleep.

Saturday Emmy watched Jaxson while my mom and I did a little shopping. She got a new job at a bank so she needed to look for some new work clothes and things to wear. We started at TJ Maxx and she found some good stuff. Of course, I had to get something too! HA! After we finished up shopping, we picked Jaxson up then went to dinner at the Outback. I love their Alice Spring's Chicken and have been craving it for awhile. It was so yummy! After dinner, my dad went to play poker with the guys, so my mom and I headed to Target to do some more shopping. After we finished up there, my mom decided to come to my house and help give Jaxson his bath since he didn't do too well at her house the night before. We gave him a bath and bottle but he still didn't want to go to sleep! Finally around 10:30 after an hour of rocking, my mom got him to sleep. I don't know what got in to him, but he didn't want to go to bed early while daddy was gone.

Sunday Brent made it home around noon and we were so happy to see him! We missed him very much! After he got things unpacked and showered, we had a lazy day. We went and got Taco Bell for lunch and then all 3 of us took a long nap! It was nice to just hang out at home together. That night, we needed to go to Toys R Us to get some formula and exchange a few things. After we got home, Grandpa Bill and Grandma Betty came by for a little bit to see Jaxson. Brent gave Jaxson his bath, and I gave him his bottle and rocked him and he was asleep in 5 minutes! HA! He's so smart! He knows what he can get away with when daddy is gone!

Jaxson's 3 Month Pics

Check out Jaxson's 3 month pictures. They were taken by Dawn Lensing at 1000 Words by Dawn. She does a great job and got some sweet shots of Jaxson. I am going to have a hard time deciding which ones I like best.

Halloween 2010

Our Little Pumpkin!

We had a busy first Halloween! First we went by Grandma Emma and Grandpa Don's house. She gave Jaxson a little pumpkin with $5.00 in it, which we put in his piggy bank when we got home. Our next stop was Grandma Dorothy and Grandpa Steve's house. Jaxson was in a great mood over there and let both of them hold him and love on him. After that, we went to Nana and Tat's house. Nana gave him some toys for Halloween since he's still too little for candy. By that time, Jaxson had enough of his costume and was getting hot and fussy! We took it off and then he was a happy baby! Kay Kay was also there to love on him! Sissie and Mike came over too! Around 6:30, we got our little pumpkin all dressed up again and headed over to Grandma Betty and Grandpa Bill's house. We ate yummy pizza and passed out candy to the Trick-or-Treaters. Jaxson was worn out by this time and just wanted to sleep! Finally at about 8:15, we took our little pumpkin home, gave him a bath and put him to bed!

We had a great first Halloween with Jaxson! I can't wait to see what it will be like next year. I think we will be in trouble!

Friday 10/29/2010

After Jaxson was born, I started working part-time. I get Tuesday's and Friday's off to spend time at home with him. I look forward to these days every week! Last Friday we went to lunch with Lauren and Kelly to the Cracker Barrel in Alma. Before we left the house, I took a few pictures of Jaxson and finally captured his sweet little smile!

This little boy just melts my heart! <3>
