Three Months...

Jaxson Kole you are 3 months old!!

Here are some of the things you've been up to lately:

*You eat 5oz every 3 hours during the day. You are still a very hungry boy and very rarely miss a bottle. Sometimes you even scream after you finish your bottle! You get so mad because it's all gone, but it doesn't take long to calm you down and make you forget about it.

*You still love your paci! We never go anywhere without it! We even have a backup in the diaper bag!

*You have started holding on to your blankets, burp cloths, my shirt, whatever you can get your hands on. It's so sweet!

*You have finally noticed Bailey. You will lay on the floor and follow Bailey around the living room with your eyes. I just know you two are going to be best friends soon!

*You are still in a good night time routine. You get a bath around 8:30, a bedtime bottle, some cuddle time, and then it's off to bed. You usually go to sleep very easily on your belly and then Daddy flips you over to your back before we go to bed.

*You wake up anywhere between 5:30 and 6:30 in the mornings. You get your diaper changed, a bottle, and then play or sleep in your swing while we get ready for work. On the days I am off work or on the weekends, you have been known to fall asleep in your swing and not wake up until 9:30 or 10:00. You love sleep just like your mommy and daddy!

*You are not on a very consistent nap schedule. You nap at random times though out the day and it's usually only for about an hour. You take better naps at daycare than you do at home.

*You are wearing mostly size 3-6 months clothes, but you still have a few 0-3 months that fit you. I love buying you new clothes and dressing you up! I get very excited when I find something in your closet that finally fits you or that I forgot you had.

*You are usually a good boy at daycare. When I pick you up in the afternoon, you smile and laugh. You are always happy to see your mommy and I love that!

I can't believe how time flies! It seems so recent that we were bringing you home from the hospital and showing you around the house. I was packing up some of your newborn clothes and it's hard for me to believe you were ever that little. It was very sad! You are growing up right before our eyes and I can't wait to see what you will be up to in the next months!

Jaxson - You are the sweetest little boy and Mommy and Daddy love you very much! Happy 3 months!

Wordless Wednesday!

On our way to daycare this morning...

Jaxson got sent home from daycare...

Last week while I was on my lunch break I got a call from daycare and it was Jaxson's teacher. She wanted to know if it was okay to go ahead and feed him even though it's only been 2 hours since his last feeding. (We are trying to stay on a 3 to 4 hour schedule). She said that he had been crying for over an hour and she couldn't get him to stop. They tried gas drops, water, and nothing was working. Of course, I said it was fine to give him his bottle. But since I was in Fort Smith for lunch, I decided to just drop by there and check on him. As I was walking into the builiding I heard him crying still. He had already taken his bottle and was still not happy! I felt so bad for him! I held him for a minute and got him calm, but decided to just take him back to work with me incase he got upset again. He sat in his carseat in my office for about an hour and just looked around and talked. I finished up what I need to do and we left early, before the fussyness started again! I'm not sure what was wrong with him that day, but we have got good reports from his teachers since then! Let's hope he keeps it up!

2 Months!

Jaxson Kole you are 2 months old!!

Here are some of the things you are up to:

You went to the doctor Tuesday and you weigh 10lbs 13oz! You are growing bigger and bigger everyday. You are in the 25th percentile for weight, height, and head. You still have a little catching up to do!

You eat a 5oz bottle every 4 hours during the day. You are a hungry boy and hardly ever miss a bottle!

You take a bath between 8 and 9 every night, drink your bottle, and then go to bed. After you finish your bottle you are so sleepy and cuddly and it's hard for mommy to go put you in your bed. We usually hang out on the couch together for a little bit. That's one of my favorite times of the day! Nothings better than a clean baby in pj's!

You haven't been waking up until around 5 or 6 then you take another bottle and go back to sleep for a little bit. You have been sleeping really good these past few days and we hope you keep it up! The other morning I actually woke up before you and had to go check to make sure you were okay, ha!

You are wearing size 0-3 months and some 3-6 months clothes. You have out grown all your newborn clothes and it makes mommy sad. It's hard to believe you are already getting so big!

You are holding your head up great and try to stand up on mommy and daddy all the time. You spend some time in your bumbo, boppy, and bouncy seat while you are awake, but your favorite thing is to lay on the couch or bed and just look around. You are not crazy about your swing anymore, but you lived in it the first month of your life.

You are a happy baby most of the time and smile and talk to mommy more and more everyday!

We love you so much Jaxson!! Happy 2 months!

Jaxson's birth story...

I was scheduled to be induced on July 19th, so Brent and I checked into the hospital a little after mid-night to get things started. The nurses were super nice and answered all the questions I had about what was going on and what to expect. Neither one of us got much sleep that night because I was too excited for Jaxson to be here and made Brent stay awake with me! At 7:30 am Dr. Muylaert came in and broke my water. From the second my water broke, I started having terrible contractions that didn't stop! They were one after another and I felt like I never got a break. The nurse gave me some pain medicine through my IV, but it didn't help much. Finally after 2 hours of horrible contractions, I got an epidural which helped so much! I felt no pain after that! I was finally able to get some rest and wait for Jaxson. A little before 2:00 I started feeling like I needed to push and the doctor came into the room and asked me if I was ready. Brent called my parents and his parents to let them know it was time. Everyone got to come into the room for a few minutes and I was so emotional knowing I was so close to seeing my baby! I pushed for about an hour and Jaxson Kole Moss was born at 3:01 pm. He weighed 5 lbs 15 oz and was 19 3/4 inches long!
