Jaxson's birth story...

I was scheduled to be induced on July 19th, so Brent and I checked into the hospital a little after mid-night to get things started. The nurses were super nice and answered all the questions I had about what was going on and what to expect. Neither one of us got much sleep that night because I was too excited for Jaxson to be here and made Brent stay awake with me! At 7:30 am Dr. Muylaert came in and broke my water. From the second my water broke, I started having terrible contractions that didn't stop! They were one after another and I felt like I never got a break. The nurse gave me some pain medicine through my IV, but it didn't help much. Finally after 2 hours of horrible contractions, I got an epidural which helped so much! I felt no pain after that! I was finally able to get some rest and wait for Jaxson. A little before 2:00 I started feeling like I needed to push and the doctor came into the room and asked me if I was ready. Brent called my parents and his parents to let them know it was time. Everyone got to come into the room for a few minutes and I was so emotional knowing I was so close to seeing my baby! I pushed for about an hour and Jaxson Kole Moss was born at 3:01 pm. He weighed 5 lbs 15 oz and was 19 3/4 inches long!
